Sheetal Prasad visited us on campus at The City College of New York to talk to my students about how she got to where she is today career-wise, and to talk about Wall Street and the overall finance industry. Sheetal is Managing Director and the Small Cap Core & Mid Cap Growth Portfolio Manager at Jennison Associates. Jennison Associates is an asset manager that is wholly owned by PGIM, which is a global asset manager with over $1.3 trillion in assets under management.
Sheetal got her start in the healthcare sector and then transition to focusing on that same sector on Wall St. These insights were especially helpful to my students who are in the Master's in Translational Medicine (MTM) program at CCNY. She also shared personal stories about her career journey and conveyed the view that everybody's journey is unique and that most of the time one has to take things step by step and not get too worried about future uncertainty. Thanks Sheetal for taking time out to spend some time with us!
