We hosted our kickoff session for our CCNY Coworking Entrepreneurship Hangout Fridays initiative today. The purpose of these sessions is to provide an informal forum for students to discuss anything related to entrepreneurship and innovation be it a startup business or just an idea that's been floating around in one's head for a while. I was joined by Stan Altman, a professor at CCNY from the Office of the President, and entrepreneurship program experts Stu Schulman and Ed Rogoff.
We had a lively session with a wide spectrum of topics ranging from the music industry to healthcare & wellness to beauty technology. Students received feedback on idea feasibility, figuring out their core value proposition, product/market fit, design research, the importance of a solid minimum viable product (MVP), fundraising considerations, trademarks, and competitive analysis.
We're going to host these sessions through Friday April 2. Feel free to drop in anytime 12:00pm-3:00pm ET using the Zoom link in the flyer. Please reach out to me at pkim@ccny.cuny.edu if you have any questions.
